Frequently Asked Questions

  • We wish! But no.

Lunar Telephone Company is a design studio specializing in lighting, media, and creative direction for themed entertainment, live entertainment, and architecture. We do not offer cellular plans, long-distance calling, or lunar surface coverage. We are, however, excellent at making spaces that feel out of this world.

The name is a playful nod to our imagination and our curiosity.

  • Because “Design Studio with Imagination, Technical Chops, and a Love of Space-Age Optimism” didn’t fit on a business card.

We wanted a name that sparked conversation and nodded to the retro-futurist design we admire. It’s part homage, part metaphor, and fully us.

  • We’re all still here - just evolved.

Lunar Telephone Company is the next chapter in the story of Chris Werner Design.

Same team. Same leadership. Same obsessive attention to detail. We evolved the name to reflect a broader mission and a love of ambitious, imaginative work.

  • Lighting and media systems, creative direction, and experiential environments — for themed entertainment, museums, live performance venues, architectural spaces, and the occasional installation that defies easy categorization. If it involves making a space feel like something special, we're probably interested.

We partner with clients from early concept all the way through opening night — and beyond. That sometimes includes creative direction, design documentation, budgeting, coordination with fabricators and contractors, and on-site support. We work at all scales.

  • Every project is different, so we don't publish fixed rates. What we do promise is transparent budgeting from the start — no mystery invoices, no scope creep in the dark. Reach out and tell us what you're building. We'll have an honest conversation.

  • Absolutely - Yes to the first two.

We love teaming up with creative humans - whether that’s for a project, a panel, or a brainstorm. We’ve presented at industry events, mentored young designers, and contributed to big conversations. If you think we might be a good fit, let’s talk.

    Spacewalks remain aspirational.
