Telemetry
Telemetry is our way of staying connected - to clients, collaborators, and fellow dreamers. Expect occasional musings, behind-the-scenes intel, nerdy insights, and updates from deep space.
A blog? Sort of.

_Final v2
At Lunar Telephone Company, we work across design, engineering, live entertainment, themed attractions, and general creative madness — which means we trade a lot of files. And few things grind our gears faster than receiving something named ‘image1.jpg’ with zero context and no clue when it was made.

Boosting the Signal
#SignalBoost
Starting this month and continuing as an experiment for the next 12 months, we’re launching a simple initiative: when we post about a meaningful cause, milestone, or cultural moment on social media, we’ll make a small but intentional donation to a nonprofit organization aligned with that message. It won’t be massive—we’re a small company, after all. But it will be consistent. And we hope it adds up, not just in dollars, but in awareness, in advocacy, and in the example it sets.

Strategic Wandering
Not every meeting needs a boardroom. And not every brainstorm needs a whiteboard. Sometimes the best ideas surface between bites of pani puri or halfway through a cocktail. That’s the beauty of creative partnership: when trust is high and pressure is low, ideas have room to breathe… and grow. (unintentional rhyme)

…A Thousand Words
If a picture is worth a thousand words… then designing a logo feels like writing a novel - in haiku form - on a deadline - while everyone is watching. It has to capture your essence, strike the right tone, and look great on a water bottle. No pressure!

How Custom Color-Mixing LEDs Are Made
Whether it’s faux neon bending around a storefront arch or pixels animating a building-sized display, these components are the hidden heroes of immersive storytelling. Each strand represents hundreds of precise steps—from robotic pick-and-place to hand soldering and waterproof testing. It’s not just about light. It’s about craftsmanship, durability, and the strange joy of seeing imagination take shape in circuits and color.

WFB: Work From Beach
At Lunar Telephone Company, our work isn’t bound by four walls. Sometimes it’s a construction site. Sometimes it’s a rooftop. And sometimes - it’s a strip of coastline, with a battery pack and the smell of sunblock.

Now receiving… Telemetry
Welcome to Telemetry - our blog… kinda. Expect updates, insights, cosmic curiosities, and the occasional space pun from the orbit of Lunar Telephone Company.

AI Art??
As Lunar Telephone Company continues to grow, we’re exploring a wide range of creative tools — including emerging technologies like generative AI. We’re using it to create playful visual content for blog posts and occasionally just to make ourselves laugh. It’s a part of our R&D — not a replacement for real artistry.

New Handle. Who dis?
Our work has always been about connection — between people and places, ideas and experiences, light and story. As we evolve from Chris Werner Design into Lunar Telephone Company, it felt right to let our Instagram evolve too.

Who did what?
Before we were Lunar Telephone Company, we were Chris Werner Design.
Under that name, we completed some truly incredible projects – from small, thoughtful installations to large-scale international spectacles.

#NextStage25
“What comes next for immersive storytelling? How do we evolve the tools, spaces, and ethics behind the work?”
At The Next Stage Immersive Summit in Pasadena, artists, technologists, and producers gathered to explore exactly that - sparking conversations, collaborations, and momentum across panels, salons, and late-night hallway chats.

Lunar? Telephone?
The idea of a ‘telephone company’ on the moon is absurd, and we love that. But when you think about it, we actually are in the business of connecting people — not through copper wires, but through experiences, light, sound, and story.

Now launching!
Chris Werner Design is now Lunar Telephone Company — a bold evolution reflecting a broader creative mission. With the same team and passion, we’re expanding our work in lighting, media, and immersive storytelling for themed entertainment, live experiences, and architecture. Our new name nods to retro-futurist optimism and cosmic curiosity - imaginative, a little weird, and fully us. We’re still grounded in technical excellence and collaborative design, just aiming a little higher. 🚀
