#NextStage25

I had the opportunity to attend The Next Stage Immersive Summit, a multi-day gathering of artists, technologists, producers, and experience-makers, all converging in Pasadena, California. Hosted by the Immersive Experience Organization, the summit unfolded across two venues - The Pasadena Playhouse and The Hotel Dena - bringing together a dynamic mix of minds from across the immersive ecosystem.

Across panels, salons, and hallway conversations, the focus remained clear: what comes next for immersive storytelling? How do we evolve the tools, spaces, and ethics behind the work? And how do we support the people shaping the field - especially those building experiences that live outside the bounds of traditional formats?

The sessions were thought-provoking. The community felt more like collaborators than competitors. I walked away with new insights, new connections, and renewed momentum.

There were a couple stand-out sessions!

Making a Good Immersive Story Salon

WARP Technology - presented by Patrick Keenan from Secret City Studio.

Immersive Experience Building - presented by Shane Rhodes from Mighty Coconut.

Case Study: Port of Entry presented by Jennine Willett from Third Rail Projects, and David Feiner & Miguel Angel Rodriguez from Albany Park Theater Project.
