Before we were Lunar Telephone Company, we were Chris Werner Design.

Under that name, we completed some truly incredible projects - from small, thoughtful installations to large-scale international spectacles. Our work took us across the U.S., the Middle East, and Asia. We lit up museums, retail façades, immersive art worlds, theme park shows, sprawling gardens, and places we’re still not sure we can talk about publicly.

We’re proud of every single one of those projects. They reflect the same curiosity, care, and collaboration that fuels us today. That’s why many of them are still featured in our portfolio.

As we continue to grow under the name Lunar Telephone Company, we want to be transparent about the legacy of that earlier chapter. You’ll see us reference work done “as Chris Werner Design,” or projects that started under that name and evolved into something new. Some projects were conceived as CWD and completed as LTC. Others have gone through multiple phases over many years - and we’ve been lucky enough to stay involved the whole way through.

We’ll do our best to be clear about what was done when, and under which banner. But no matter the logo on the letterhead, the through-line is the same: thoughtful, story-driven design with a deep love for the work.
